Job Description

  • Assist with technical support related to complex maintenance and/or urgent IT issues.
  • Write emergency communications and provide meaningful updates to management and executives. Participate in after-hours maintenance and other duties as assigned. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Provide insight and interpretation of the environment and the data being presented/reported to help discover the appropriate solution/approach.
  • Participates in or leads complex Data Center and Cloud infrastructure (network, storage and compute) design/implementation and migration, performance engineering or problem resolution projects. Solves complex, cross-functional issues that cross many technologies in network, server, storage, O/S, virtualization, consolidation, middleware, security, applications, operations, content switching, caching and/or content delivery networks, and security. Applies good analytic process to help bring any issue to resolution.
  • Provides technical support for customers during software and hardware upgrades and Proof of Concepts. Delivers migration plans, with a thorough understanding on networked applications and related dependencies. Ensure compliance to delivery methodology operational structure, roles & responsibilities. Participates in regular status meetings and other ad-hoc interactions with the customer managing specific asks from the customer and managing customer expectations from Cloud Consumption engagements

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Computing/Information Technology or equivalent and higher.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of IT servers administration experience.
  • Data Center Operations working with various monitoring tools
  • Advanced ability to analyze and find solutions for complex technical issues, including troubleshooting applications and OS problems.
  • Ability to identify the underlying technical problem.
  • Technical ability to leverage existing technologies and tools for improved (higher productivity and efficiency) IT solutions.
  • Troubleshooting of computer hardware and software issues.
  • Open to different perspectives and flexible to change.
  • Understands and models organizational mission, vision and values.
  • Demonstrates an ability to re-prioritize as directed.
  • Good knowledge in server administration and network troubleshooting
  • Able to manage multiple tasks, projects and prioritize.
  • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and a team player.
