Overview
An opportunity for job candidates out there who wish to pursue a role as a Senior Medical Technologist in a clinical laboratory. The role is multi-disciplinary, to include Clinical Chemistry, Haematology and Blood Transfusion Services.
Working as a small team, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership skills, knowledge and experience. Duties will include working in Sample Reception, the routine operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation, technical validation, quality assurance and inventory management. Candidate for supervisory role will be further required to manage the laboratory with roster planning, coaching of junior/new staff, resolve all technical queries as well as ensuring compliance to relevant accreditation bodies.
Requirements
BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent with at least least 5-8 years experiences in one of the section (hematology/ Clinical chemistry/ Blood transfusion service)
Good laboratory, planning and organisational skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proactive with good leadership skills
Good IT skills
Service orientated and customer focused
Able to work independently as well as a team
Flexibility to work on shifts which include weekends/public holidays
Candidates with relevant work experience may be considered for supervisory positions
