Job Summary: The RME engineer works within the Regional Manufacturing Engineering (RME) organization to establish and maintain a complete manufacturing system of people, process, information, equipment, and infrastructure that enables the manufacturing plants to produce product without disruption. Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Expertise on specific manufacturing processes, like, laser marking, automation, vision control, etc. Provide for the availability of equipment, processes, and manufacturing capacity for the new and existing production of the products. Lead projects Gross productivity to improve process, safety, quality, delivery and productivity performance at the manufacturing plants, develop and maintains process design and control documentation, and drive process standardization and governance of process change control. Ensure that the manufacturing processes provide the highest quality product at the lowest cost. Ensure that customer delivery commitments are met. Actively work in plant environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, standardize, implement, maintain, and govern manufacturing processes for RA manufacturing plant. Provide recommendations, requirements, and justifications to support investigation and evaluation of new manufacturing technologies. Facilitate and/or participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Process Failure
Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) analyses. Define, initiate, and lead or participate in, projects that will enable the plants to meet annual productivity goals and reduce/eliminate safety and ergonomic risk in the manufacturing work environment. Initiate and provide justification for capital requests. Define, plan, and lead the implementation of approved capital requests. Collaborate with others from within and outside of the Operations group to achieve common objectives.
Qualification
Bachelor of Science in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical/Automation Engineering, or equivalent degree or education.
Minimum six years of manufacturing engineering experience in a Multi-national company Demonstrated record of technical and business competence, interpersonal skills, leadership ability and a strong desire for a career in manufacturing or operations, Experience with Project Management, Design For Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies, and a manufacturing environment Some travel may require (10~15); possible international
