Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

Support sales team in gaining market share and key account wins

Attend target accounts introductory and sales meetings

Develop and maintain relationships of target customers in the region

Research on target markets and customers’ needs and support sales strategies

Main liaison for the product portfolio Automation of APAC sales organization, includes Interface solutions, HMI and Cameras Systems

Develop and oversee the implementation of Sales Support Plans for the region including but not limited to sales calls, marketing information, specialist support, local trade show and other promotion activities

Collaborate with Product Management of Business Units and sales teams to ensure that customer requirements are met

Possess a strong understanding of products and competitions in the industry and positioning

Keep up-to-date on industry developments and market competitions and provide regular feedback to BU leaders

Focus on business development effectiveness, marketing strategic and trend analysis

Provide regular customers’ requirement & technical trends to BU Automation leaders for product engineering and development priorities

Provide direction to TG’s on go-to-market’ sales channel strategies, market segmentation.

Collaborate with local automation sales personnel to do forecast and budget plan

Support and drive vendor’s listing and specification of defined customers in the region

Participate in industry councils, committees and trade association.

Education and/or Experience Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering or Technology.

Minimum of (10) years’ experience in business development role with Multinational Company (MNC)

Good technical knowledge in Automation.

Experience in Explosion Proof application is an added advantage

Regional experience



Skills and Abilities

Automation Background with knowledge of PLC, DCS, Software products and network communication (Ethernet, Profibus, etc.)

International Sales background with focus on Chemical, Pharma, Oil and Gas, LNG

application and customer

Good knowledge of international standards and applications such as NEC, ATEX, IECEX, DNV, UL etc.

Knowledge of key markets (Oil & Gas / LNG / Chemical, Pharma, etc.), Digitalization (IoT, Industry 4.0) and key players

Experience as international Key Accounts and manage complex industrial B2B structure

Territory Management skill with up-to-date market knowledge
