The Legal team is focused on helping deliver business impact across the organization through the provision of pragmatic and commercial legal advice and leadership. This team works closely with our business units and other functions to ensure that Beam’s legal, regulatory and commercial interests and risks are managed and mitigated appropriately as the Company scales.

Reporting to the Legal Counsel in HQ, you will be the first paralegal hire in Singapore. You will work closely with every part of the business and be able to utilize your skillset to really make difference and drive positive impact. There will be exposure to a fast growth startup with a regional footprint and the career trajectory opportunity to match.

• Support legal team in carrying out corporate secretarial function in a number of regions, including Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
• Prepare and review board documentation e.g. board minutes, resolutions, POAs.
• Assist with execution and filing of documentation, including corporate documents and contracts.
• Assist with filing of annual reports and other statutory filing based on the filing timelines and the local requirements of each jurisdiction.
• Entity incorporation for international jurisdictions (i.e. the setting up of new entities in different jurisdictions).
• Entity maintenance: work closely with cross functional teams, e.g. finance, tax and HR to support the business.
• Responsible for documentation and maintaining databases.
• Budget forecast and cost control on external company secretarial/law firm spends.
• Assist with any ad hoc tasks assigned to him/her.

Requirements

• At least 3+ years of experience in corporate administration or as a paralegal either from a law firm or other in-house corporations
• Familiarity with ACRA filing and processes
• Fluent English skills; both written and verbal
• High level of organization, detail orientation and ability to time-manage in a very fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Proactive and ability to work independently (willing-to-learn attitude is a must)
• Good knowledge of corporate compliance and secretarial work is a must
