1) As a Teacher Aide in all tracks, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
- Support the implementation of students’ behaviour support plans for positive and quality student education outcomes
- Supports the teachers in planning and designing of teaching and learning experiences in the classroom
- Support teachers in implementation of lesson plan and carrying out classroom management strategies
- Support teachers to achieve and monitor students’ individualised goals and objectives
- Provide support to students to ensure smooth class transitions
- Liaise with internal stakeholders such as Allied Professionals to support students’ development, safety and well-being
- Liaise with external stakeholders (including families/caregivers and community partners) to facilitate administrative or communication processes
- Ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment for the well-being and safety of the students in School
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
2) For Teacher Aides in Secondary School, in addition to the above responsibilities under (1), your role includes:
- Assists the teachers in preparing, developing various teaching aids
- Proactively engages students and assists teachers in the teaching and learning in class to meet the needs of the students
- Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments to present or reinforce learning concepts
3) For Teacher Aides in Vocational Track, in addition to above responsibilities under (1), your role includes
- Assist in school activities to enhance learning experience for students
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least GCE ‘N’ Level/O’Level/NITEC
- No prior experience required, training will be provided
- Desire to learn about autism and the patience to teach special needs students
- Passion to help special needs students maximise their talents and potential
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills
