The Company :
Our client is a multi-national organization and one of the leading information, communications and technology (ICT) service providers in Singapore.
The Project :
Consisting of multiple locations of significant national interest, and as being designated as part of the Critical Information Infrastructure sector, teams of multiple IT Support Engineers are deployed in supporting and ensuring that the assigned onsite IT devices are operational and disruption is kept to a minimal.
The Role :
As a IT Support Engineer you will be responsible for the following
- Supporting the assigned project teams in the implementation, installation, configuration of PCs / Workstations operating systems, applications and related peripheral devices.
- Being part of a team(s), providing 24x7 Level 1 on-site IT support to the end-users
- Rotational-basis
- 10am to 10pm/10pm to 10am, including Public Holidays.
- Perform daily health as well as inventory screenings on the system
- To share key findings to the Project Manager, during the course of troubleshooting, pertaining to major issues escalated by users.
- Report to the Project Manager for all operational-related matters.
Requirements
- Having prior exposure to IT operational environments
- Communicates well and has good interpersonal skills
- Is independent and has ownership of his/her assigned tasks
- Certification in Higher Nitec or Diploma, ideally with a focus/specialization in IT
Skillsets attained:
In the course of your tenure as an IT Support Engineer, you will learn and acquire the following:
- Experience in installation, configuration, troubleshooting of PC / peripheral devices as well as support in the maintenance of related applications.
- Hands-on experience in supporting end-users in Windows (Windows clients) environment.
- A basic understanding of IT Service Management where SLAs (service-level agreements), KPIs (key-performance indicators) are concerned
- Familiarity with the fundamental scope of work typically delivered in IT end-user computing supporting
- Ability to work under time-sensitive situations
