Ensuring the quality of crew (both Officers and Ratings) line-up for your assigned fleet of vessels
To manage vessels’ safe manning crew complement based on the approval and agreement with the Client, including reduced crew headcount upon obtaining all necessary exemptions from the client.
In case of emergency relief, to propose and arrange a replacement seafarer
To validate promotions of ratings
To prepare a transfer / exit plan for a vessel changing a nationality allocation or leaving the Company as well as prepare a relief plan for any specific projects as requested by the Client.
Ensuring all re-joining seafarers has their latest appraisal updated into the Company database, and at the same time, verify if the appraisal score permits the Seafarer to be re-hired.
Monitor that all required crew records are updated accurately and timely in the Company database.
To ensure that Riding Squad members / any additional seafarers are in compliance with the Client’s request and appropriately reported for invoicing.
To review Seafarers’ Employment Agreements and POEA contracts as well as save them in the software.
Be on roster as Duty Officer once every 2 months, to be available 24/7 in case of emergency call.
To check and pre-approve all the non-wages related expenses.
Requirements
A Diploma from recognized institution
At least 3 years of relevant crewing experience with an established ship manager / owner.
Knowledge of mandatory STCW certifications, Seafarer’s Employment, MLC 2006, CBA and Flag States’ requirements
Proficient with MS Office application
