About the job
Reporting to the head of finance, you will manage the local and regional finance teams across SEA covering the full spectrum of finance activities in one of the business areas. They include, but not limited to, operational accounting, management & statutory reporting, budgeting, and forecasting, internal control, year-end audit preparation, liaising with bankers, auditors, tax agents, lawyers and authorities.
You will play a crucial role in formulating internal policies and business decision makings, managing financial risks and legal matters within the scope of the business. You are required to work closely with other functional teams in providing strong support to business leaders to achieve business goals.
You will ensure all relevant information is captured and reflected in annual plans and estimates, challenging and verifying the underlying assumptions to ensure the integrity of numbers. You will provide analysis and forecast to management with relevant and insightful analysis of the business drivers for the region. You will also work with various stakeholders and finance shared services to continuously improve processes and systems and undertake any ad-hoc projects as required by the leadership team.
Requirements
You are an accomplished and qualified Finance Professional with at least 8 years of relevant experience in finance operations and FP&A. Having working experience in distribution(trading), and/or services-based organisations will be beneficial to the role. You should have regional exposure managing multi-functional accounting teams in ASEAN and possess the critical skillset of solving issues and the ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously. An excellent communicator with good influencing skills and ability to communicate well with peers and senior leaders locally and remotely is essential for the role. As the business is moving strongly in her digital transformation plans, an interest in new software adoption or possess relevant process automation software experience is important.
Good business reporting, presentation & communication skills will be useful in working with your peers in different divisions (business partnering). As an individual, you are resilient and able to demonstrate maturity and integrity; As a leader, you are able to lead and mentor your teams.
