Video Editors are generally responsible for editing recorded raw material into a suitable, finished video ready for delivery and presentation. The material video editors work on may include camera raw footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, special effects and color grading. A video editor is required to possess both technical and creative abilities to be able to effectively create the vision clients have in mind. Middle level video editors are the ones who have potential to become Senior Video Editor in terms of creativity, proficiency in Adobe package and independency.
Expectations:
-Having a specific degree from one specific field is not required.
-Fluent in English is must. Additional language is a plus
-Must have a professional reel or samples of previous work to apply.
-Must be a Singaporean OR to have a valid work permission to work in Singapore
-Must be proficient in following tool:
1. Adobe Premiere Pro
2. After Effects
-Other preferable tools (Intermediate level):
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop
Desirable experience: At least 4 years of experience, but quality of work can completely compensate lack of desirable experience.
Job Description
Receive video material for editing
Dealing with more complex video projects
Accept and study the project task
If necessary, request clarification of the terms of reference
Edit video material in accordance with the project task ( Medior level editing)
Having a creative approach
Deliver mounted material for inspection
If necessary, make corrections according to the client's requirements
After each project –uploading all the material (video versions, stock footage, final
version, music etc) in the specific folder.
