Execute an environmental monitoring and management plan that reduces and mitigates potential negative impacts on the environment.
• Serve as a technical advisor on environmental policies and standards to ensure regulatory compliance, as well as assessment of project-specific environmental requirements and specifications.
• Conduct research and technical audits on the environmental impact of a project, analyse data and perform quality control checks.
• Conduct inspections on-site for instrumentation and monitoring works.
• Perform calculations for and interpret field monitoring data.
• Address problems and develop environmental solutions.
• Collaborate with and establish good working relationships with scientists, engineers, subcontractors and consultants.
• Document and maintain plans, requirements, protocols, permits and standard operating procedures.
• Develop requests for quotations for the environmental monitoring scope and be able to assess environmentally-related proposals from potential subcontractors.
• Contribute to construction risk assessments from the environmental management perspective.
•Liaise and establish bond with the other departments, sub-contractors and our consultant.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by your Supervisor / Manager. Reports to the Design Manager
Requirements
Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Marine, Geography or equivalent
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Good software knowledge: Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, CAD, GIS
• Organized, analytical with excellent problem solving skills. Proactive and a good team player
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment with various stakeholders. Self-motivated and interested in continuous improvement
• Flexibility in responding to project requirements and deliverables, which may occasionally cover weekends and public holidays
• Good interpersonal skills, working with a wide range of colleagues of diverse backgrounds and nationalities
• Full English proficiency, both written and spoken
