Apply for this jobThe position is responsible for optical design aspect of product and development activities associated with Displays products with integrated camera function and derivatives from product definition and planning through production, release and end of life. Serves as the central resource for all aspects of the optical engineering solution. Involvement lasts throughout all stages of the product's lifecycle including modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line. Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for managing the technology lifecycle of new products, features or enhancements from conceptualization, requirements gathering, product specification, implementation review and release. - Evaluates technical options and represents business requirements to the engineering organization through responses to the market requirement documents and detailed functional specifications. - Acts as primary point of contact and coordinates Development and Test resources to successfully release new products on time and within budget. - Provide leadership to manufacturing partners, debug and feedback at module prototype and product levels. - Take ownership of design, analysis, documentation and testing of complex image sensor, optical, image processing, imaging scalar and mechanical parts, assemblies and manufacturing data. - Analyze critical areas of the design with the appropriate analysis tools. - Play key role in ensuring the final design meets the marketing requirements, quality and cost goals, and achieves world-class standard of reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability. - Works with key components suppliers to conduct engineering design and tests to evaluate and verify the robustness and proper performance of new products - Manage assigned development activities of external suppliers. - Interface with suppliers, industrial design, electrical engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality and other development groups to ensure the successful development and launch of new products. - Utilize best in class tools to develop innovative solutions to highly complex problems. - Provide inputs for the webcam design development of sensor and optics budget and schedule. - Play a key role in development of the preliminary BOM, cost targets, development plan. - Support other areas in their initial work on project planning documents. - Identify and mitigate potential schedule, budget or quality risks. - Escalate to project leads and project management any discrepancies well before they become critical. - Offer alternatives to realign the project with original goals. - Responsible for subset team member coordination and mentoring. Requirements - 10 years or more than 10 years experience in image sensor, optics, image processing and display scalar. - Knowledge and proven ability in lens design and evaluation, collaborate with lens or camera module and display scalar manufacturing partner to evaluate and define the lens spec(MTF, RI, Distortion..). - Knowledge and proven ability in image sensor and Image Signal Processor, including the 3As(AE/AF/AWB), correction for lens imperfections. - Knowledge in image tuning and camera test process, ensure the required performance have proper test process at manufacturing lab. - Ability to understand webcam and display key component such as sensors, imaging pipeline, color, etc. - Prefer major in optics - Able to operate in a global environment under minimal direction. - Able to work independently and self-motivated.Apply for this job
